March 15th MedQuest Application Deadline: Time is Running Out!
The MedQuest application deadline is quickly approaching!
Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind opportunity for high school students to experience a full week of hands-on activities in the healthcare field!
Sponsored by Northeast Oregon Area Health Education Center in La Grande, this residential camp will be held at Eastern Oregon University from June 18th– 22nd. Students will participate in individualized job shadows, emergency response lessons, a mock wilderness rescue atop Mt. Emily, simulation lab activities at the OHSU School of Nursing, and much more! Students will also try out college dorm life, forge lifelong friendships with like-minded students from across the state, and unwind with evening recreational activities like miniature golf and rock-climbing.
MedQuest is the perfect opportunity for high school students to jump-start their future health careers. Many of our past campers are now doctors, nurses, dentists, physical therapists, and many other successful healthcare professionals.
There are still spots available for this year’s camp, but time is running out to apply! Applications and résumés must be submitted by March 15th to be considered. Note that MedQuest tuition covers all meals, lodging, extracurricular activities, camp materials, and transportation during the program. Plenty of scholarship opportunities are available to help students with the cost of camp.
