What is Investigators of Science?
Investigators of Science, formerly Girls in Science, allows middle school students to dive head-first into an engaging science mystery that leads them toward careers in STEM. The curriculum is designed by EOU faculty to give students hands-on experiences in biology, chemistry, math and computer science, health and human performance, and psychology. The event has won nine awards from the American Chemical Society, a non-profit that focuses on advancing chemical science broadly across the country. Another longtime supporter of the event is Soroptimist International of La Grande, who has been suppling grant funds for the event each year.
When is it?
Investigators of science is held annually in the beginning of November. We will provide updates here, through our newsletter, and social media as we have them.
