Burns, Oregon: Discover Your Future in Healthcare at Frontier MedQuest Camp
Experience Frontier MedQuest in Harney County! In partnership with High Desert Partnership, Harney District Hospital, and other local organizations, this camp offers an incredible opportunity to explore healthcare careers. Over five days and four nights, you’ll learn about frontier medicine, build new skills, and make great friends while experiencing life in rural Oregon.
Applications will open by the end of January! To attend MedQuest, each student needs to complete the following: application, acceptance form, TB testing, sign releases & consents, and respond to all other requests in a timely manner. NEOAHEC will communicate with you via email, so make sure you are checking your inbox regularly.

Camp Highlights
- Shadow four healthcare professionals
- Learn from camp directors, counselors, and healthcare mentors

2025 Camp Details
- Location: Burns and Crane, Oregon
- Dates: July 7-11, 2025
- Lodging: Stay in the Crane High School Dorms (43277 Crane-Venator Rd, Crane, OR 97732).
- Cost: There is a $25 fee to apply, but thanks to funding from the Oregon Health Authority, camp is free this year!
- Capacity: Only 25 spots (10 reserved for Grant and Harney County students).
Eligibility:
Open to all Oregon high school students, from freshmen to graduating seniors. Students must commit to the entire camp to participate.
